Applied Analysis Research Group (AARG)

Introduce:

The Applied Analysis Research Group (AARG) was established by Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) in 2015 with the goal of researching the theoretical field of mathematical analysis and its applications to solve real-world problems and models arising from Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, and Engineering Sciences, etc. These models are often described by ordinary differential equations, partial differential equations, or integral equations.

The group focuses on solving several problems related to the existence and uniqueness of solutions, stability, the regularity of solutions, the bursting and decay of solutions, and numerical solutions for various classes of problems. The group's research results have been published in prestigious international journals in the Scopus/WoS database.

Mission and Vision:

- The AARG research group is affiliated with the Faculty of Mathematics and Statistics at Ton Duc Thang University and is tasked with promoting the scientific and technological development of the Faculty, and training high-quality researchers in applied analysis for the Faculty and the University.

- Strengthening the publication of high-quality international publications in prestigious journals listed in the Scopus/WoS databases.

- Connecting and collaborating with researchers domestically and internationally through activities such as: guiding and implementing scientific and technological projects, organizing conferences and workshops, etc.

Research topics:

- Partial Differential Equations (PDEs)

- Stochastic Equations (SPDEs)

- Numerical Analysis and Numerical Methods for Approximating Solutions

- Inverse Problems (Backscattering Problem, Electro-/Echo Localization Problem, Heat Transfer Problem)

- Image Processing (Image Segmentation, Noise Reduction, Edge Detection, Texture Recognition)

- Non-Integer-Order Analysis

- Variational Analysis

- Functional Analysis

- Optimization
