Faculty of Mathematics and Statistics was transformed from the Faculty of Information Technology and Applied Mathematics (established in 1997). The Faculty equips students with basis theory about mathematics (one and multivariable differential-integral calculus, differential equations, basic analytic, linear algebra, probability and statistics, discrete mathematics), and about informatics (basis programming, data structures and algorithms, computer architecture, graph theory); Also, the students are equipped with advanced subject: complex analysis, functional analysis, system and control theory, operation research, advance programming, object-oriented programming, etc.
Faculty of Mathematics and Statistics is one of the 16 faculties/departments of Ton Duc Thang University. The Faculty offers two Bachelors programs: Applied Mathematics and Statistics. Besides, it is also in charge of teaching math to students from other faculties/departments.
Our programs provide students with a solid foundation and in-depth exposure to advanced statistical methodology, computational statistics, and multidisciplinary applications.
