9.1 Admission Method

Entrance examination or a combination of entrance examination and examination are determined in the University's annual Master's Degree Admission Scheme.

9.2 Diploma Requirements

Applicants must meet one of the following conditions:

Graduated from university with a good grade or higher or met the conditions for recognition of a university graduation with a good grade (equivalent degree or above) in a relevant major (Appendix 1) to the field of application. Graduated from university or have met the conditions for recognition of university graduation (or equivalent degree or above) in a relevant major (Appendix 1) with the field of application and have scientific publications related to the field of study and research within 3 years (36 months) up to the date of completing the application file. For a major that is relevant to the field of application, they must complete the requirements for additional knowledge before applying (Appendix 1).

Applicants must meet the language proficiency requirements for the master's degree program according to the current Master's degree admissions and training regulations of Ton Duc Thang University.

4. Benefits of joining the programme 4+1

Only applicable to students studying at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU). Simple admission process (no entrance exam), students are flexible in choosing the time to study and the subjects. Receive many scholarships from TDTU: from 25% to 50% of tuition fees. Shorten training time: 4+1 training = 5 years, receive 2 degrees (University and Master). Subjects are considered equivalent to reduce training volume and time (detailed list is presented in section 3). The timetable is arranged on weekends (Saturday afternoon + Sunday), suitable for students to ensure both the main program (University system) and to be able to participate in the 4+1 program. Subjects studied can be reserved for 5 years. Opportunity to participate in scientific seminars organized by the Faculty. Opportunity to exchange and study with international students. In addition, students have the opportunity to study and interact with foreign professors and participate in specialized talks.

III. Doctoral Program in Applied Mathematics

1. Introduction

General Information

- The PhD program in Applied Mathematics aims to cultivate experts with solid professional expertise and sharp academic thinking. Learners are equipped with a solid system of foundational knowledge and advanced theories in the field of Applied Mathematics, meeting the requirements for research and professional activities in an international environment. The program focuses on fostering independent research capacity, the ability to develop scientific theories and modern methodologies to solve complex problems and thereby creating new knowledge.

- The program is designed according to Level 8 of the Vietnam National Qualifications Framework and aligned with international standards for doctoral education

- After graduation, learners can become lecturers or researchers at universities, academies, research institutes, and research organizations both domestically and abroad. They can join in interdisciplinary research groups: Mathematics - Computer Science, Mathematics - Engineering, Mathematics - Biomedical Sciences, Mathematics - Economics…. 13. Progression points

Doctoral candidates must meet the requirements for graduation recognition and doctoral degree awarding according to the current regulations on doctoral admission and training of Ton Duc Thang University and the specific requirements of the training program.

14. Special features

The doctoral program in Applied Mathematics is designed to help students master scientific methods, knowledge, and research tools in the field of applied mathematics, with an emphasis on inspiring passion and determination for research among doctoral students.

15. Job opportunities

After graduating from the doctoral program in Applied Mathematics, students can become lecturers and researchers at universities, academies, research institutes, and other research facilities both domestically and internationally. They can participate in interdisciplinary research groups: Mathematics - Computer Science, Mathematics - Engineering, Mathematics - Biomedical, Mathematics - Economics, etc. They can also mentor and train the next generation of students and doctoral candidates. 3. Programme Learning Outcomes (PLOs)

Upon completing the doctoral program in Applied Mathematics at Ton Duc Thang University, graduates must achieve the following:
