The Faculty of Mathematics and Statistics (FMS) was established from a separation of the Faculty of Information Technology and Applied Mathematics since March 2012. Today, the Faculty is a vibrant community of dedicated staff and research fellows and widely recognized for its excellence in teaching, research and partnerships. FMS follows the Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) Vision and Mission and offers two Bachelor programs and one Master program.
There are about 700 students who are enrolling in our Faculty. FMS has more than 36 full-time staff, divided into 4 departments: Department of Applied Mathematics (DAM), Department of Statistics (DS), Department of Mathematics for Engineering (DMEn), Department of Mathematics for Economics (DMEco). FMS has 3 research groups which are Applied Analysis Research Group (AARG), Fractional Calculus, Optimization and Algebra Research Group (FCOARG) and Optimization Research Group (ORG). Modern curriculum of FMS is compatible with international standard and research oriented. The percentage of graduates getting jobs within 1 year after graduation is nearly 100%.
AUN-QA Network is established as the ASEAN quality assurance network in higher education with the responsibility to promote quality assurance in higher education institutions, raise the quality of higher education, and collaborate with both regional and international bodies for the benefit of the ASEAN community.
In 2020, FMS registed to be promoted with AUN-QA. Currently, the offical time has set for testing. FMS has finished the Self Assessment Report (SAR) in AUN-QA standard.
