On Monday afternoon, January 12, 2026, the Faculty of Mathematics and Statistics (FMS) held a seminar with presentations by Prof. Moulay Barkatou from the University of Limoges, France, on the topic "Solving Linear Ordinary Differential Systems in Closed Form" in the field of algebra, and by Professor Samir Adly, President of the French Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics, on the topic "From Gradient Flow to Acceleration: A Mathematical Tour of First-Order Methods" in the field of optimization, invited by Assoc. Prof. Le Ba Khiet. The presentations were presented simply, suitable for the level of students and lecturers.
