On the afternoon of January 21, 2025, Prof. Moulay Barkatou and Prof. Samir Adly from the University of Limoges, France visited and gave talks at the Faculty of Mathematics and Statistics (FMS). Prof. Barkatou presented on "On the simultaneous triangularization of a set of matrices", while Prof. Adly spoke on "Bridging discrete algorithms and continuous ODEs in accelerated first-order optimization: a historical perspective".

Prof. Adly and Prof. Barkatou are world-leading experts in optimization and algebra.
