Workshop on Applied Mathematics WAM 2025 at Khanh Hoa Branch, Ton Duc Thang University, July 27-29, 2025

The Faculty of Mathematics and Statistics has coordinated with the Khanh Hoa Branch, Ton Duc Thang University to organize a small, simple, low-cost workshop, but with important, high-quality scientific content. The purpose of the workshop is for teachers and scientists from all over the country to meet and share the latest research results and knowledge in the fresh sea air. In addition to the hours in the hall with 4 60-minute invited reports by leading professors from Hanoi, Da Lat, and Australia and many 40-minute scientific reports by teachers from universities in the South, the discussion and professional exchange continued happily on the famous Hon Chong beach. A number of graduate students and postgraduate students also participated and reported their research results.

The reports focus on modern issues of applied mathematics that are being developed at home and abroad, such as an overview of algorithms in equilibrium models, optimality conditions in multi-objective optimization and non-smooth control problems, derivatives and subdifferentiations on manifolds, stability, solution sensitivity, and approximation in optimization, variational convergence, minimization of semi-algebraic functions, and many problems applying variational analysis in practice. In the context of the strong development of the fourth industrial revolution, Mathematics plays a fundamental role in creating and operating modern technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), data science, system optimization, modeling and automatic control of complex processes. In-depth academic conferences such as WAM 2025 not only contribute to promoting domestic research activities, but also create conditions for the scientific community to connect, share knowledge and orient sustainable development in the digital age.

This is the second time the Faculty of Mathematics and Statistics has organized a conference at Khanh Hoa Campus; the previous one was an international conference in March 2025. In previous years, the Faculty organized international conferences and seminars at the school's headquarters in Ho Chi Minh City. The conference in Nha Trang is a joint effort of Khanh Hoa Campus and the Faculty of Mathematics and Statistics to develop and promote this important facility of the University.
