On the morning of April 5, 2025, at Saigon University, the Closing and Awarding Ceremony of the 31st National Student Mathematics Olympiad, co-organized by the Vietnam Mathematical Association, took place. This year's competition took place from April 1 to 5, gathering nearly 750 contestants from 90 universities, academies and colleges across the country, creating a vibrant academic playground, imbued with the spirit of learning, healthy competition and love for Mathematics.

Notably, this year's competition saw the first participation of the student delegation of the Faculty of Mathematics - Statistics, Ton Duc Thang University. Although it was their first time participating and they were still confused about the format and scale of the competition, the students of the Faculty showed their outstanding efforts and achieved encouraging results.

Specifically, student Nguyen Minh Tri won the Third Prize in Analysis, demonstrating solid logical thinking and academic ability in one of the highly specialized subjects. At the same time, student Tran Quoc Cong made his mark with the Third Prize in Algebra and continued to affirm his ability when he won the Encouragement Prize in Analysis. These are impressive results not only for the students themselves but also a memorable milestone for the FMS in particular and TDTU in general in the journey to affirm its academic position on the map of higher education nationwide.
