TON DUC THANG UNIVERSITY ORGANIZED THE CEREMONY OF APPOINTING DECISIONS TO ASSOCIATE PROFESSORS AND AWARDING THE MEDAL "FOR EDUCATION"

On December 26, 2024, Ton Duc Thang University held a ceremony to award the decision to appoint Associate Professors and award the "For Education" Medal to a number of lecturers currently working at the University.

The Faculty of Mathematics and Statistics is honored to have two new Associate Professors recognized in 2024, including Associate Professor Tran Minh Phuong and Associate Professor Cao Xuan Phuong.

Here is some key information about the two new Associate Professors:

1. Associate Professor Tran Minh Phuong:

- Born in 1986, hometown Quy Nhon city, Binh Dinh province.

- Graduated from university with a major in Mathematics, majoring in Mathematics Pedagogy at Ho Chi Minh City University of Education in 2008.

- Awarded a master's degree in Mathematics, majoring in Applied Mathematics at the University of Orléans (France) in 2010 and received a doctorate in Mathematics, majoring in Applied Mathematics at the University of Orléans (France) three years later.

- From October 2012 to October 2013: Postdoctoral researcher at the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, Paris Pedagogical School, France.

- January 2014: worked at Ton Duc Thang University as a lecturer of the Faculty of Mathematics - Statistics and became a Grade III lecturer from April 2024.

- Currently the head of the Applied Analysis Research Group of Ton Duc Thang University.

2. Associate Professor Cao Xuan Phuong:

- Born in 1986, hometown Duc Pho town, Quang Ngai province.

- Graduated from the University of Mathematics - Informatics, majoring in Analytical Mathematics at the University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City in 2008.

- Received a Master's degree in Mathematics, majoring in Analytical Mathematics at the University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City in 2011.

- Graduated from the PhD in Mathematics, majoring in Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics at the University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City in 2018.

- From February 2012 to present: working at the Faculty of Mathematics - Statistics, Ton Duc Thang University as a lecturer.

- Currently the Head of the Department of Statistics, Faculty of Mathematics - Statistics, Ton Duc Thang University.
