On the morning of June 1, 2024, the Faculty of Mathematics and Statistics (FMS) organized a scientific research report session for students at the Faculty level for the 2023-2024 school year.
Participating in the report session were three groups of students with new research topics, including two topics focusing on partial differential equations (majoring in Calculus) and one topic focusing on deconvolution (majoring in Statistics). These are research directions that have attracted the attention of many mathematicians, especially in recent years, with many different applications in many fields such as physics, chemistry, biology, medicine ...
At the beginning of the reporting session, group 1 shared a new result on calculating the correct solution for elliptic equations with measurement data. This model has many applications in simulating real phenomena such as heat transfer, electric fields, waves, etc.
Next, group 2 introduced a further result for the equation with non-uniform growth and the difficulties encountered during the research process.
Finally, group 3 shared an improved deconvolution model, providing new and expanded results compared to previous deconvolution models.
At the end of the report session, the lecturers of the FMS shared their comments and discussed research results with the students.
