On Thursday morning December 15 2022, Prof. Michel Théra and Prof. Samir Adly from the University of Limoges, France visited and presented at the Faculty of Mathematics and Statistics, Ton Duc Thang University. Prof. Théra is  Emeritus Distinguished Professor (the highest degree of professors in France) since 2012 and Prof. Adly is the manager of the ACSYON master's program in applied mathematics at the University of Limoges, France.

Prof. Théra presented about: “Characterizing the error bound properties of functions in metrizable topological vector spaces” and Prof. Adly talked about: “On the acceleration of first-order methods: Applications in optimization and learning”. Prof. Adly then briefly presented the ACSYON master's program in applied mathematics at the University of Limoges, France.
